"Tradition teaches that soul lies midway between understanding and unconsciousness, and that its instrument is neither the mind nor the body, but imagination." --Thomas Moore
The Center for the Study of Change offers educational opportunities that are aimed in helping to prepare individuals to initiate and sustain change on personal, social and community levels.
Our educational philosophy is based on the understanding that to make change in the world, we must first address inner change.
The Center offers certificate programs that focus on bringing cognitive and experiential learning together in order to activate these ongoing processes of the imagination and inner change.
CERTIFICATE COURSES:
Cross Cultural Applications for Change (CCAC)
Cross Cultural Applications for Change is a 12-month in depth program designed to enhance and deepen the ways in which we listen to, and tell, the stories of self, nature and culture. As depth psychologist, Ginette Paris states, wisdom can be learned. The CCAC program focuses on teaching psychological wisdom, or what C.G. Jung has called individuation. It is a process that can promote and enliven our inner life; activate our creativity and imagination; and stimulate intellectual growth and emotional maturation.
Deepening our understanding of mythology and archetypal patterns and how they shape our human experience can help to enrich our personal and professional lives, and broaden our capacity to relate and understand Self, others, and our world. Read More
Ecopsychology Training Intensive
Taught from Depth / Archetypal Psychological Perspectives
The Ecopsychology Training is a 6-month intensive study of the ecology of the natural world and the psychology of individuals, organizations and communities as ecosystems. We will explore the many complex interactions between the human and the natural world, and examine how what lives in the psyche of individuals ultimately has an impact on nature and vice versa. This Training emphasizes relationships between personal, community, organizational, economic, social, ecological and ethical issues. Read More
